Toward a Securer, Smarter, and Healthier World!

Speaker:   Rajesh Kumar, Syracuse University
When:   March 25, 2021, 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Where:   Zoom

Abstract

The rapid evolution and acceptance of smart and wearable devices have enabled us to record almost every aspect of our lives. For example, we can precisely record behavioral activities such as walking, swiping, typing, browsing, drone flying; and health indicators such as blood–pressure, temperature, pulse, stress level, seizure, Parkinson, and fall detection in the elderly. The ability to record such life patterns and the advancement in machine intelligence has opened several doors for research, development, and innovation. The first half of the talk will discuss some interesting possibilities and challenges in the dimensions of security, privacy, and health. While in the second half, will focus on the vulnerability of behavioral biometric systems to sophisticated attacks. Zoom Link: https://gmu.zoom.us/j/97503725557
