    Center for Secure Information Systems

    The Center for Secure Information Systems at George Mason University invites you to apply for a research position. We seek research staff and faculty at all levels: research staff, research associate, research scientist, and senior research scientist.

    Our salaries are competitive and we hire on full- and part-time basis depending on the work at hand. We have active and well-organized research groups in systems, information assurance and security, vulnerability and exploit analysis, software engineering, e-commerce, intrusion detection, data mining, computer forensics, and steganography/steganalysis. Depending on the research level, you will be expected to develop a sponsored research program or contribute significantly to the funding of a research group.

    All positions require that the candidates are interested in the security field. All candidates must possess solid computer skills, writing skills, and on-line research experience. Candidates must meet client contractual requirements and have the flexibility to work on a number of diverse projects.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Working toward the completion of a BA or BS,
                            preferably in a technical field.

    FUNCTION TITLE:      	Research Associate
    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: BA or BS, preferably in a technical field.
                            Working toward a MA or MS, in a technical field.
                            Upon receiving a MA or MS, must also have some
                            security-related experience

    FUNCTION TITLE:      	Research Scientist
    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 	Knowledge and research in security-related areas.
    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: MA or MS, preferably in a technical field.
                            Must have some security-related experience.
                            Working toward a Ph.D. in a related field

    FUNCTION TITLE:      	Senior Research Scientist
    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 	Extensive knowledge of information security and assurance areas.
                            Solid computer skills, writing skills, and on-line research
                            experience are required.  Ability to perform project management.
    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Completing a Ph.D. (ABD) preferably in a technical field.
                            Must have security-related and research experience.
