2005-2006 Graduate Research Endowed Assistantship

 

Purpose

To provide financial support for a graduate student enrolled in the following IT&E graduate degree programs: Master of Science in Information Security & Assurance or PhD in Information Technology with concentration in Information Security & Assurance.

Terms of Award

One assistantship in the amount of $12,000 is available for the academic year 2004-2005.  Recipient is also entitled to an out-of-state tuition waiver (M.S. students) or full tuition waiver (Ph.D. students) for up to 6 hours per semester.  Recipient will work 20 hours per week for an information security faculty member at GMU.  Recipient must be enrolled for 6 credit hours per semester, and must maintain good academic standing.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a graduate student enrolled in either Master of Science in Information Security & Assurance or PhD in Information Technology with concentration in Information Security & Assurance degree program.

Period of the Award

The period of the award will be 8/25/05 to 5/15/06.

Deadline

February 28, 2005.  Award will be announced by March 30, 2005.
