Faculty Summer Fellowships
Purpose
To provide financial support for a faculty member at a U.S.
University to engage in one of the following activities:
1. Faculty Development – Engage in joint scholarly activity with one or more IA and computer security faculty at GMU. The scholarly activity must be research related.
2. Curriculum
Development – Engage
in joint scholarly activity with one or more IA and computer security faculty
at GMU. The scholarly activity must be
teaching related.
Amount
of Award
Two fellowships in the amount of $10,000 each are available for
Summer 2004. Funding may be in the form
of a stipend or may cover local and travel expenses, or some combination of
stipend and expenses.
Eligibility
An applicant must be a (1) full-time faculty member at any U.S.
University and (2) U.S. Citizen.
Period of the
Award
Summer 2004
Deadline
March 30 2004. Awards will
be announced by April 30, 2004.
Format
Fellowship applications should include (1) a cover sheet that
includes your name, email and postal addresses, as well as phone and fax
numbers, (2) a brief narrative of 2-3
pages, and (3) a copy of your vita.
