Dr. Jajodia,
My name is Jason Merriman. I am the Chief Technology Officer at Cyber Security Research and Solutions (CSRS-Corp). CSRS-Corp is a leader in the field of Cyber Security testing, system evaluation, and certification for the US Department of Defense. We are currently working several contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD), and are looking for skilled cyber security analysts and engineers to join our team. We have seen a lot of information about George Mason's Computer Science and Information Security Programs and are interested in working with your staff and GMU job placement teams on potential positions for both Cyber/Information Security internships as well as full time positions for qualified GMU students and graduates.
Some of the tasks we are currently working on include performing computer security assessments (Blue Teams) using a combination of technical tools and non-technical policy reviews, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) for DoD systems, testing and certification activities for DoD computer network operations (CNO) programs, participation and data collection for large DoD cyber exercises, and provision of Subject Matter Experts (SME) for cyber security and systems engineering support of DoD Enterprise services. Up to 25% travel is required. More specific requirements are listed below.
Potential candidates must have at least 160 credit hours, or a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science/Information Security or related field, enthusiasm for working with information technology and cyber security related issues, and must either have or be able to obtain a US DoD Secret clearance.
